I was actually already registered with Twitter but I had not utilized it in any way.I have been there today and made a start with changing photograph and checking out my Profile etc because, as has been said, we reap what we sow and I decided to ensure that all Social sites that I belong to are properly set up in order to present the right impression. We only get one opportunity to make a first impression.
Regards, Mike

Hi Larry. I apologize for failing to get back to you sooner but I have had a few domestic issues which sorely needed attention. However, I am back now and am beginning to seriously digest all relevant information that is available on My Private Classroom. As I have said on my Profile page, I have been involved in a few schemes, albeit not too successfully, but, as they say, Rome was not built in a day. I was a painter/decorator once and I always learnt that the secret of a good finish is in the good preparation. With that in mind I have decided to return to basics and learn the craft. I have watched Diane Hochman's Videos...well not yet all but I am getting there...and she has inspired me to put my skates on, so to speak. I will continue to look at all available material. I am extremely impressed with the content within your various Blogs, etc, by the way.
Looking forward to further chats with you as time goes by. Take care and be successful and happy
'bye for now, Mike

About Me:

I live with my family in the Lower Hudson Valley about 35 miles northwest of New York City.

My work in business research, analysis and problem solving has impacted several industries and spanned more than three decades. However, recently I embarked on a much different course about which I am very excited.

The article Social Media One Bite at a Time relates the events in 2007 that piqued my interest in Web 2.0 social media and details the strategies that enabled me to become proficient in social media and a recognized authority on business networking.

Aside from business analysis, my present areas of expertise include Twitter, Ning social networks, blogging, search engine optimization and social media list building.

As the author of Online Social Networking, a nationally syndicated blog featuring thought-provoking outside-the-box articles on a broad range of business and social strategies, I also created two social networking sites: Outside the Box and Let's Follow Each Other.

Feel free to contact me. I am available to serve new clients. See the endorsements quoted at the bottom of my bio.

Attracting Thousands of Twitter Followers

In the past I found ways to leverage LinkedIn, Direct Matches, Yuwie, Ning and blogging effectively.

I've recently accomplished the same with Twitter: I've "cracked" the Twitter code.

One Twitter myth is that you have to tweet a lot and contribute great content to brand yourself and get hordes of followers. That's not completely true. You do have to contribute and avoid spamming, but not as much as most people believe.
