Who's a Cubicle Jockey?
Not Me!

Many of you know who I am,
and only know a little bit about me.

Then there are the Strangers who are Friends
that I have yet to meet …. and this too is for you.

So here is a bit more about me ~

The past several weeks I've been traveling the country
and as I have noticed all of the 18 wheelers out there,
they have been reminding me that back when I
was in High School, I too wanted to be an over the road truck driver.

But back in the 70's that was not a “normal”
profession for a woman to choose.
Back then it was “appropriate” to
become a secretary or a hair stylist.

What I saw was not a “man's job”, but
Freedom. Freedom to explore and see the
country. Not becoming a Cubicle Jockey.
Not having someone look over my shoulder
all day long dictating to me what I was going
to do for 8-12hrs

So as the story has been told,
I became meat/seafood/deli sales rep that
was able to travel from town to town and
I was not stuck in a cubicle with someone
looking over my shoulder.

Yet Even in that profession I went against the norm.

Back then the sales formula for most female reps was:
Short Skirts + High Heels = Case Sales/More Money.

My formula was:
Long Skirts + Flats = Case Sales/More Money.

Guess Who became the #1 Sales Rep Twice out of Four Years? Debra.
Guess Who Stuck around the Longest? Debra.
Guess Who the Guys Most Trusted & Respected? Debra.
Guess Who Made Enough in Bonus Money that
she was able to Furnish and Landscape her home? Debra.
Guess Who was able to travel to Jamaica FIVE times in one year? Debra.
Guess Who is now traveling the East Coast and Working from Everywhere? Debra.

I Created Multiple Streams of Income Then and I AM
doing that now with the Freedom and Lifestyle that I AM choosing.

All you need to do is Change Your Mind, Change Your Life,
Change Your Income so You Can Change the World!

Here is another phrase that I have coined:

"MY WORLD SPEAKS ABUNDANCE ~
WHILE the REST of the WORLD SCREAMS LACK!"

I enjoy traveling (especially Jamaica), reading and music.

Prison Ministry is also a part of my life.

Some of my favorite movies: Pursuit of Happyness, Battling the Giants, Amazing Grace, Freedom Writers. Any movie that shows how you can achieve success and victory through struggles, perseverance, determination, focus.

Some of my favorite books: The Bible, The Power of Your Subconscious Mind, Think and Grow Rich, Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin, Visioneering, If Only He Knew, For Women Only, The 5 Love Languages, Love & Respect, The 12 Seeds, It's Not About Me, Your Best Life Now, the Power of People, Overcoming Time Poverty, and John Maxwell's Books.

Leaders Organize So They Don't Have To Agonize ~

~ Identify and pursue your top priorities.

~ Seek to practice what will benefit the most people.

~ Communicate clearly.

~ See things through the eyes of the outsider.

~ Order activities simply for the purpsoe of adding value to others.

~ Make sure everything is done in an appropriate manner.

I will post the video I did on Busting the Invisible Clutter in Your Life and the other organizing video I did.

The Right Attitude Comes First

How could there be such differing opinions on the same topic?
Because there was a difference in attitude.

And attitude makes all the difference.

The development of a positive attitude is the first
conscious step toward becoming an effective leader.
Successful leadership cannot be constructed
without this crucial building block.

Check out the following attitude axioms suggested
by the words and actions of Joshua and Caleb:

~ Our attitude determines our approach to life.

~ Our attitude determ… Continue

If You Fall, Get Back Up

“The fact that you have been knocked down is interesting,
but the length of time you remain down is important.”

In life, you will have problems.
Are you doing to give up and stay down,
wallowing in your defeat, or are you going
to get back on your feet as quickly as you can?

When you fall, make the best of it and get back on your feet.
Learn what you can from your mistake, and then get back in the game.

View your errors the way Henry Ford did his.
He said, “Failure is the opportunity to begin… Continue

Beat Your Conditioning ~ A Life Jewel

How many of your own thoughts, beliefs and values are actually your own?

The answer, for most people, is very few. This is because most of our thoughts, beliefs and values are a result of our religious, social, family and communal background and, in many ways, the values of our heroes.

As a result of this, whenever we are faced with something that is different to our conditioning, we do one of two things. We either try to disprove it or we try to ignore it.

As we enter a new week, try to make… Continue

Hi Debra, I too wanted to be a truck driver back then. In a way, I didn't want to be chained to one spot either. I wanted to see the world. I went into the Air Force. I got to see quite a bit of the world, that if given the chance, I probably wouldn't have visited on my own. Utah, England, Wales, just to name a few. All magnificent places. You're the type of DEEP person I like to be friends with. Knowledge is Power.

I guess it makes a difference when it is exactly the way I feel. ALL of my true friends would probably agree with me.
